October 1, 1938 — March 8, 2023
Originally from Oklahoma, but moved to California at the tender age of two, Nelva Ailene Staggs made her mark in Southern California – particularly in Palos Verdes – where she worked as a very successful and respected realtor for many decades. She is survived by her two children who will always remember her as a loving and hardworking mother, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The youngest child of Lyda and Thomas Payne, Ailene is preceded in death by her two sisters, Betty Sauer and Barbara Kennedy, and by her dear friend and partner in crime, Margaret Hunter. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and clients. Ailene sends hugs and kisses to all of us from above.
