Nejdeh "Nick" Philipossian, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 6, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Born in 1956 in Tehran, Iran, Nick lived a life defined by warmth, generosity, and an extraordinary kindness that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Nick was, by all accounts, a true gentleman. Those who knew him would say without hesitation that he truly did not have a bad bone in his body. His gentle nature and genuine compassion for others made him a rare and cherished presence in the lives of his family, friends, and community. He carried himself with a quiet dignity, yet possessed a wonderful sense of humor that could light up any room and put anyone at ease.
Throughout his life, Nick remained deeply passionate about his Armenian heritage and dedicated himself to Armenian causes with heartfelt conviction. His commitment to preserving and honoring the culture, history, and future of the Armenian people was unwavering, and he inspired those around him to share in that devotion. His advocacy was not born of obligation but of a profound love for his roots and his people.
Nick found joy in life's simple and beautiful pleasures. An avid equestrian while living in Iran, he was a devoted lover of horses, finding in them companionship and grace that resonated with his own gentle spirit. He had a deep appreciation for classical music, especially works by Mozart and Beethoven, spending countless hours immersed in the listening experience. He also treasured his time along the beaches of Mexico, where the rhythm of the waves and the warmth of the sun offered him peace and contentment.
Above all, Nick loved being an uncle. He cherished his nephews, Remy and Ricky Philipossian, with a devotion that was evident in every interaction. His role as their uncle was not simply a title; it was a calling he embraced wholeheartedly, and the bond they shared was a source of immense pride and happiness for him throughout his life.
Nick was preceded in death by his loving mother, Ella Philipossian, and his devoted father, Vigen Philipossian. He is survived by his brother, Ara Philipossian, and his beloved nephews, Remy and Ricky Philipossian, who will carry his memory forward with love and reverence.
May Nick now find the eternal peace and rest that his kind and loving soul so richly deserves. His family takes comfort in the faith that he is held in the arms of God, reunited with his parents, and free from the burdens of his illness.
