Nathaniel Castro Mendoza

March 12, 2014 — December 12, 2024

Nathaniel Angel Castro Mendoza, lovingly known as Nathan or Nate, was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He was born on March 12, 2014, in Pomona, California, and tragically left us on December 12, 2024, in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Nate is survived by his devoted parents, Marcy Castro and Miguel Mendoza. He was a treasured brother to Christian Mendoza, Mark Gallegos, and Miranda Gallegos. He also holds a special place in the hearts of his grandparents: Robert Castro, Mary Rodriguez, Ignacio Mendoza, and Clementina Andrade, along with his cousin, Jocelyn Mulgado. Nate was deeply loved by a wide circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly.

An outgoing and spirited young boy, Nathan was full of love and happiness. He had a natural talent for sports, discovering his passion for baseball at the age of five when he joined Citrus Little League in 2019. His enthusiasm for athletics expanded as he embraced football, playing for Upland MVP starting in 2022. Nathan was also an enthusiastic student attending Bear Gulch Elementary School, where he was in the 5th grade, actively participating in his school community.

Nathan’s energy and joy were contagious, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. His spirit of kindness and adventure will forever be remembered.

Family and friends are invited to honor Nathan's life at his Rosary service on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel located at 10079 8th St. Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. 91730. Internment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located at 21300 Via Verde St. Covina, Ca. 91724., followed by A Celebration of Life at 9254 Arrow Rte. Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. 91730.

As we say goodbye to our beloved Nathan, let us carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and joy in our hearts.
