Nathan "Nat" Selikson

February 28, 1925 — July 15, 2014

Nat was born and grew up in New York City, N.Y. During World War II, Nat served in the United States Army Air Force, where, being multi-talented, he also played flute, saxophone and clarinet in Army Air Force bands in military stations in India, Burma and China. After his years in the US Army Air Force, Nat migrated to Los Angeles, Calif. where he attended UCLA. He left school to start a manufacturing business with his cousin, Manny Glaser and their company, Laguna Sportswear, grew to become one of the largest men's and boy's swimwear companies in the country. Always involved in the menswear manufacturing business, Nat served as president of the Mens Apparel Guild of California (MAGIC). An avid and accomplished skier and tennis player, Nat was a longtime member of the Beverly Hills Tennis Club and would often be found on the slopes in Aspen, Colo. Nat adored his family, and was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. His friends were legion and they all had the most loving praise for him and his wonderful sense of humor. Nat leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years, Marcia; daughter, Debbie; son, Michael; sister, Miriam and four grandchildren.
