Kingston, NH: Nancy Elaine McManus of Kingston, NH passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday March 24, 2013. Born on May 4, 1946 in Hollister, CA, Nancy was raised by her late parents Richard and Etta Tilley in Massachusetts with her younger sisters Pat and Lydia, and brother Richard.
Nancy’s greatest love was Family. She raised two active, adventurous, hockey-loving sons in Plaistow NH and later found great joy spending time with her four grandchildren. She especially loved extended family gatherings. Nancy enjoyed working with her hands as an artist, craftsperson and gardener. She loved great books, inspirational movies and spirited conversations with friends.
Nancy worked as a draftsman and later received a Masters in Counseling Psychology and was certified in several holistic disciplines. She founded Unlimited Horizons and served as a holistic psychotherapist and addiction counselor in MA and NH. She also served as an adjunct professor at Middlesex Community College and Northern Essex Community College. She was passionate about her work and found great fulfillment in serving others.
Nancy will be fondly remembered for her exuberant energy, sparkling green eyes, contagious laughter and generous spirit. Her family wishes her a safe journey and a happy reunion with her late son, Scott and recently deceased brother-in law Dan. She is survived by her youngest son Kyle, his wife Jan and her grandchildren Matt, Morgan, Dylan and Madison. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life gathering has been planned in Nancy’s honor on Saturday, March 30 at 2 pm at Zorvino Vineyards, 226 Main Street, Sandown, NH. All are welcome to attend.
Nancy had an extraordinary love of angels and her license plate reflects the gift she gave to all of us! “ 2U-JOY”
