Nancy L. (Marshall) Hollinrake, 74 of Raymond, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester.
She was born on January 3, 1941 in Concord, NH the daughter of the late Rupert and Maryann (Mahoney) Tavitian. She was raised and educated in Plaistow and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She received her degree in teaching from Keen State.
Nancy worked as a teacher. She had taught in Plymouth, MA and Georgetown, MA. Most of her time working as a teacher was spent at the Memorial School in Newton, NH.
Nancy was a very talented and creative artist. She has created many window and wall paintings in children's wards in hospitals. She enjoyed creating ceramic pieces and enjoyed playing the piano. She was always active helping to run both school and town activities. She loved the outdoors and going camping. Nancy was also an avid reader. She enjoyed playing all kinds of games, including board games, dominos and cards. She loved to travel around the country, as well as to Canada, Mexico and Bermuda. Most of all, Nancy loved to spend time with her children, especially with her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Leslie Hollinrake of Raymond, NH. Her daughters; Alison Golas and husband, Robert of Danville, NH, Debra Cerna and husband, Joseph of PA and Valerie Hollinrake of Gorham, NH. Her sons; Michael Hollinrake and wife, Amy of FL, Tyler Hollinrake of Raymond, NH, James Hollinrake and wife, Evelyn of IN and Shane Hollinrake and wife, Vicky of Canada. Her sisters; Jan Tavitian of Boston, MA, Jayne Leiner and husband, Dennis of Maine and Michele O'Reilly and husband, John of Boston, MA. 11 grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 10 AM – 12 PM at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 187 East Road, Hampstead, NH 03841. Services will follow the calling hours at the church at 12:15 PM. Burial will follow in Plaistow Cemetery. Flower deliveries are to be made to the church.
