Nancy Louise Bubenas

Nancy Bubenas passed away at home on Wednesday, March 1, at the age of 80. Her great love was her husband, Anthony F. Bubenas, with whom she shared a memorable 40 years.

Born Nancy Louise Petrak in Detroit, Michigan, her family moved to California when she was a child, then moved back to Detroit. Nancy returned to California as a young woman, working first as a bookkeeper for Pennzoil and then in administration for the Carpenter's Union until her marriage to Tony Bubenas.

Nancy lived her life with determination, exuberance, and spirit. She was a force to be reckoned with! Her love of animals was one of her best-known qualities, as well as her gift for organization.

She is survived by her husband Tony, his five children, Pamela Sapetto (Martin), Rebecca Bubenas (Stewart Sills) , Tony Bubenas (Lynn), Dee Robinett, Josephine DeBeaubien (Daryl Porritt), nine grandchildren, three great-grand-daughters and two god children--who she adored--and her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Nicky and Nora.

Services will be held on Monday, March 13 at 3pm at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ASPCA in her name.
