Myron Z. Chlavin

Myron Chlavin, of Rancho Mirage, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the age of 85. Myron was born in Los Angeles, a graduate of LA High School Class of 1948, served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War and was an Ellis Island Medal of Honor Recipient.
Myron will be remembered for his GIANT HEART which touched the lives of countless charities and individuals. Myron's giving knew no bounds; it was spread over all denominations, good causes and individuals in need.
Myron is survived by his wife, Jo-Ann; his son, Steven; his daughter Mindy; his grandsons, Ryan, Cameron, Dylan and Kyle: his granddaughter; Taylor; his daughter in law, Lisa and his son in law, Tom. He is also survived by his stepsons, John and James and granddaughters Amy and Shannon.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 11 at 12 PM at Hillside Memorial Park, Los Angeles and a Celebration of his life will be held Sunday, September 13 at 11 AM at Mission Hills Country Club, Rancho Mirage.
