Myra Merrill Linehan, 100 years and five months old, born on October 31, 1919, in Safford, AZ United States, passed away on March 24, 2020 at Eisenhower Hospital in Rancho Mirage, CA.. She resided in Rancho Mirage, CA the last 19 years of her life. She was wife of Frank Oakley Linehan, and Mother of Frank Merrill Linehan, Randolph Linehan, Laura Linehan Canale, and Carla Linehan Buckley. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Myra grew up in Southern California and was a student at Santa Monica HIgh School and Chafee College prior to her marriage to Frank Linehan. During her life with her husband, they traveled extensively with his business interests operating plants in California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Brazil and Guatemala. In their own businesses, they operated a tanker between Central America and California as well as barges between California and British Columbia. Prior to coming to Rancho Mirage, Myra had been a long term resident of the San Francisco Bay Area. She was noted for her infectious laugh, sense of humor, and positive spirit. She was a descendant of Mormon pioneers who came to California in January 1847, initialing camping in today's Indian Wells in route to San Diego. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, California, where she will be interred on April 6, 2020.
