Mun Quong Toy

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Mun Quong Toy announces his passing after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, on April 19, 2023, at the age of 91.

Mr. Toy passed away peacefully at home in Valencia, CA and will be lovingly remembered by his son Arthur (Sharon); his daughter Alice (Martin); and his three grandchildren, Cole, Conner, and Jian.

Mr. Toy was born on May 24, 1931 in Canton, China.  In 1946, at the age of 15, Mr. Toy immigrated to the United States.  After graduating from Belmont High School, Mr. Toy began to build a business in Los Angeles, and, he served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954.  In 1958, Mr. Toy married Lai Lin Yee in Hong Kong, and together they came to Hollywood, California and raised a beautify family.

Mr. Toy was preceded in death by his wife Lai Lin Toy, and his brother Mun Chew Toy.

The funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068 at the Church of the Hills, at 3pm on Friday, May 5th. All are welcome to attend.
