Monte Duane Davis

Monte "Duane" Duane Davis, 82, born to Myrtle and Delbert Davis on September 13, 1936, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. He spent the first years of life being raised by his grandmother in Big Cabin during the war period.

In the 40's, he came to California to live with his mother in North Hollywood. He attended both North Hollywood HS and Hollywood HS.

In 1961 he became partners with Mr. Newberry in owning Cosmetology schools. Currently still owns Modern Beauty Academy in Oxnard, California.

Duane had an amazing love for life. He loved to participate in motorcycle races, loved rides on his Harley, camping and the outdoors. Duane was a very compassionate man, had an extremely generous heart and loved to socialize...with anyone. Duane is best loved for his sense of humor and joke telling.

In 1993, Duane took Country Western line dance lessons, he the only male with six female friends. This was the beginning of a wonderful life with Linda.
On March 31, 2012 Duane and Linda tied the knot and became husband and wife.

Duane was preceded in death by his loving mother, Myrtle Magorian and step-father, Jack Magorian. He leaves his cherished-loving wife Linda Davis, best friend Russell Cobb, daughter Denise Hooper (son-in law Michael Hooper) and son Jeff Kadis (daughter-in-law Cecilia Kadis). An amazing Papa to 6 grandchildren, Katie, Riley, Natalie Hooper, and Clara, Emelie, Theodor Kadis. And a host of loving friends.
