MOLLIE GOLE

Mollie Gole of Palm Desert, California just celebrated her 100th  Birthday.  She passed away on May 2, 2023.  Mollie was born on April 6, 1923 in Zamosc, Poland.  She escaped the evils of the Holocaust at the age of 16 by traveling by ship to the United States, leaving her parents, brothers and sisters behind.  Two of her brothers, Abe Perel and Harry Perel, who both predeceased Mollie, were able to immigrant to the United States.  

On October 25, 1942,  Mollie married the love of her life, Herman Gole.  Herman died on November 21, 1999 after 57 years of marriage.  Mollie was devastated by the loss of her beloved Herman.

Mollie was active member of Hadassah, Temple Sinai of Palm Desert and many other Jewish Organizations.  She actively supported numerous Jewish and non-Jewish charities.  Where there was a need she was always there to give her support.  She was truly committed to her Jewish obligation of Tzedakah.
 
Mollie is survived by her sons, Cantor Joseph Gole and Gary (Collette), grandsons, Evan (Alexandria), Curtis and David, granddaughter, Hannah Rolfe and great-great grandchildren, Meir Rolfe and Quin Gole.  

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mollie’s memory to Hadassah of Southern California, 295 N Sunrise Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262.

Burial will take place on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 69855 E. Ramon Rd, Cathedral City, CA.
