Kingston, NH: Miriam O. (Graham) Graham, 84, a resident of Kingston since 2001 and former longtime resident of Grafton, MA, died peacefully surrounded by her family on July 11, 2014 following a long illness.
Born, raised, and educated in Worcester, MA daughter of the late William and Gladys A. (Wells) Graham, she attended the Worcester Girls Trade School.
As a young woman, Mrs. Graham owned and operated a hair salon with her twin sister, Margaret, and was later employed for Rexnord in Worcester, MA, Telecron in Worcester, and Taynor Technologies.
A member of the Newton Junction Baptist Church in Newton, NH, she was a member of the Ladies Bible Study Group. Mrs. Graham enjoyed being a housewife and homemaker, gardening, canning, making jam and grape juice with the fruit from their orchard on the family property in Grafton, knitting, and quilting. She also enjoyed making Nantucket baskets.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, James Graham, a son and daughter-in-law, James Jr. and Deborah Graham of Grafton, MA, four daughters and sons-in-law, Diane L. and Ken Reed of Lynchburg, VA, Cindy L. and Russell Army of Kingston, NH, Sally G. and Steve Woodward of Wakefield, MA, and Gladys Amanda and Rob Towne of Kingston, with whom Mrs. Graham lived, three sisters, Gladys Clark of Spencer, MA, her twin sister, Margaret Peterson of Worcester, MA, and Annie Demer of Chicago, a brother William Graham of Florida, fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Jane Wood.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Newton Junction Baptist Church, 18 West Main Street, Newton, NH. Her funeral service will follow calling hours at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA.
