Minnie E. Bruhwiler

Minnie Evelyn Bruhwiler, aged 90, passed away January 22, 2021 in Sherman Oaks.

Minnie was born in Ugerlose, Denmark on August 10, 1930. She graduated from Sundby Hospital Nursing School in Copenhagen with a Registered Nurse's Degree. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1955 where she continued her education at UCLA. She served as Director of Nursing at Midvalley Community Hospital in Van Nuys for nine years and later, until her retirement, worked as a Surgical Nurse at Sherman Oaks Hospital.

Minnie enjoyed traveling, skiing, camping, gardening, crafting and volunteering for the American Cancer Society. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family as much as they enjoyed spending time with her.

Minnie is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, E. Mike Bruhwiler. She is survived by her children, Lisa and Mike.

A generous woman, Minnie donated to many charities and organizations. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the group of your choice.
