Minerva Taveras

Minerva Taveras, 86, born on January 5, 1933, in San Jose De Las Matas, Dominican Republic, passed away October 9, 2019. She resided in San Juan Capistrano, CA at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
Minerva was born & raised in Pedregal, San Jose de las Matas, Dominican Republic. She along with two brothers, Rafael & Luis, were the children of Manuel Taveras and Adela Rodriguez.
She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Mama to her grandchildren. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere, which she considered her extended family, and her church brothers and sisters loved her as well. She was a woman of faith and she rejoiced in serving the Lord. That's how she demonstrated her faith. Her mission in life was to conquer souls for the Lord and she spoke of His word to everyone she encountered.
She was the loving & devoted mother of Minerva (Cuqui) Rodriguez, Carmen (Baby) Heuninck, Mercedes (Dolly) Moronta, Roman (Romy) Rodriguez and Louie (Luichy) Rodriguez (Yes, she loved nicknames!). Cherished Mother in Law to Joe Heuninck, Felo Moronta, Maria V. Rodriguez and Rhina Rodriguez.
Beloved grandmother to Brian, Kenny and Danny Luna, Kevin & Laura Heuninck, Justin & Nicole Rodriguez, Jordan and Tyler Rodriguez, Derek Moronta, and Jamie and Robin Rodriguez. Loving Greatgrandmother to Julian Rodriguez.
She lived her life by example, showing what it takes to be a good Christian and taught her family the Love of God.
