Min Jen Lin

Mr. Min Jen Lin was born on April 10, 1933 in Guang Dong, China. He passed on to his heavenly reward on June 7, 2021, at the age of eighty-eight.

Min Jen is survived by his wife, Kuo Hua; his four children, and six grandchildren. As a teenager, Min Jen moved to Taiwan with his family. As a son, he was obedient and grateful. As a brother, he was kind and considerate. He attended and graduated as a member of the 44th class from Taiwan's Naval Academy. In 1959, he was selected to study abroad (Naval Amphibious School, United States Navy in San Diego) focusing on amphibious warfare. He was able to contribute what he had learned as a commissioned Navy officer.
After his service in the Navy, he led a long and successful career in the international marine industry. He held positions ranging from second and first officer to captain and later as a harbor pilot of Kaohsiung Harbor. He was well respected by his colleagues and left a legacy of great integrity.
He will be forever remembered as a caring son who took care of his parents to their last days. As an affectionate husband, he was always supportive and respectful. As a loving father, he treated each child according to their individual needs and yet provided equal opportunity for them to achieve their very best. A life well lived and he will be greatly missed.

A funeral service is scheduled on June 30th, 2021 at 9:30 am PST.
