Milagros De Santos Sumbingco of Norwalk, California passed away peacefully at the age of 81 years old surrounded by family. Born on November 5, 1944 in Manila, Philippines to Jacobo De Santos and Avelina Murillo De Santos, Mila was a hardworking and devoted mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. After marrying the love of her life, the late Alejandro Sumbingco, and raising their daughter, Carol, in the Philippines, they immigrated to the United States in 1984. She is survived by her daughter, Carol, and three granddaughters: Gabrielle, Gretchen, and Gillian. Her legacy will be that of her faith, the love and care she poured into her family, her years of dedication working for the United States Postal Service, and her perseverance in the face of adversity.
