Milagros H. Lontok was born in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines on December 5th, 1928. She was 1 of 6 children raised by Mr. and Mrs. Francisco Embrador.
Mila's accomplishments included earning her Elementary Teachers Certificate at Far Eastern University and then her Science in Education degree in Home Economics at the Philippine Women's University. She taught at the local Grade school for approximately 6 years.
On June 6,1959 she married the love of her life, Benjamin Lontok and had three children Eileen, Lalaine, and Randy.
They moved to several places Guam, San Diego, Puerto Rico, Wilmington, Carson and Cerritos while Dad served in the U.S. Navy.
Mila's passions were cooking filipino dishes for her family and friends, sewing and hemming clothes for her friends and family and most of all her love of dancing.
Mila was a member of the Original Happy Senior of Cerritos, the Filipino Seniors of Cerritos and the Salinas Association.
In 2009, she become the Lady of the Year at the Cerritos Senior Center.
Milagros was a loving grandmother to Ryan, Alyssa, Lindsey, Bailee, Justin, and Brandon. Alway telling them to study hard and save your money.
On April 10, 2019, she became our guardian angel and God opened the gates for her to be in heaven where she joins her husband, Benjamin.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, sister, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The Viewing/Vigil will be at Cypress Forest Lawn on Friday May 3, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A Mass and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 4, 2019 at Holy Family Church in Artesia at 12 p.m.
Mila will be laid to rest on Saturday at Cypress Forest Lawn at 1:30 p.m.
