Michael Papazian, Jr.

Michael Papazian Jr., age 91, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at his home in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on September 29, 1933 in Van Nuys, California, a son of the late Michael Papazian Sr. and Aznive Papazian. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Danelian.

Mike was a first generation American and the son of Armenian immigrants. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, worked at his family’s produce stand and dabbled in several occupations in his early years, including truck driver, body shop owner and restaurant owner but ultimately found his greatest success as a general contractor and homebuilder in Eugene, Oregon. Mike also enjoyed owning classic cars, riding his ATV’s on the sand dunes in Florence, Oregon, hiking, watching sports, playing Tavla (Backgammon) and other games and spending time with his friends for breakfast or afternoon coffee every day.

Mike is survived by his three children, Melina (David), Michelle (Marc), and Michael, four grandchildren Connor, Lauren, MacKenzie and Madison, his brothers Herbert (Annalisa) and Edwin (Landi). Mike also leaves behind other family members and friends and his beloved Pomeranian, Bella, who will sadly miss him.

A Funeral and Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Forest Lawn – Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, California.
