Miguel Agustin Cosio passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024, in his beloved home in Altadena, California. Born on November 28, 1951, in Potrero de Gallegos, Zacatecas he moved to Pasadena, California in 1972 to help support his younger siblings. Miguel's life journey was characterized by a profound dedication and love for all his family, an unparalleled work ethic, a tireless spirit, and a witty sense of humor.

Miguel was known for his attention to detail, loyalty, and genuine care for everyone around him. Employed at the Altadena Country Club for over 40 years, his devotion to his work was a testament to his commitment to all those he served. Over those forty years, he held many roles, created lifelong friendships, and left an indelible mark on all whom he served, mentored, and loved.

Miguel's true pride and joy were his family. His home was always filled with laughter and play as children ran freely through its doors. He treasured every moment of his sons' childhood, their adolescence, and their fatherhood. The time he spent with his grandchildren, Ethan, Daniel, Luke, Stella, and Delilah, was precious – each one a shining light in his life.

As the patriarch of his children and younger siblings, he was a pillar of strength, embodying values of loyalty, work ethic, and unwavering love. His passion for life shone through in every aspect of his being – from tending to his rose garden and fruit trees to hosting epic Cinco de Mayo, Christmas Eve parties and many carne asadas. Miguel's clever wordplay and wit, along with his sense of humor, endeared him to his friends and family.

A man true to his word and a loyal friend, Miguel will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of loving him. His legacy lives on through the many memories he created, the life lessons he gave and all the hearts he touched with his generosity and genuine friendship.

Miguel Agustin Cosio is survived by his devoted wife Esperanza Cosio, his son Luis Cosio and daughter-in-law Melanie Cosio, along with their children Ethan and Daniel; son Hector Cosio and daughter-in-law Jennifer Cosio, with their child Luke; and son Osvaldo Cosio and daughter-in-law Lisette Maturino, along with their daughters Stella and Delilah. He was preceded in death by his  beloved wife of almost forty years, Gloria Cosio.

In honoring Miguel's proudest accomplishments as a father, grandfather, brother, tio, and cousin, let us carry forward the values he embodied: love unconditionally, laugh often, work hard, create beauty and cherish every moment shared together.

Rest in peace, our dearest Miguel – your memory will forever be etched in our hearts and our spirits.
