Michael Vuong

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Truyen Vuong , beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Michael passed away peacefully at his son's home in Shawnee, Oklahoma surrounded by his family on March 15th, 2023, at the age of 75.

Michael was born in 1947 in South Vietnam, where he grew up in a large and loving family. He fought in the South Vietnam Army against the communist forces during the Vietnam War. Michael served his country with distinction, demonstrating bravery and honor in the face of great adversity.

After the war, Michael immigrated to the United States, with his wife Marguerite and they settled in Los Angeles, CA. He had a passion for cooking and loved to cook for others.

Michael will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will always remember him as a devoted father, husband and loving grandfather. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Marguerite Dao Vuong; his three adult children Dr. Andrew Vuong, Johnny Vuong and Jackie Rubi; and two grandsons Jackson and Waylon Rubi.
