Atkinson, NH: Michael R. Serratore, 31, of Atkinson died unexpectedly on June 13, 2016 at his home after a long struggle with the disease of addiction.

A kind, gentle, and selfless young man, he was born in Haverhill and raised and educated in Atkinson, son of John J. "Jack" Serratore and Robin L. (Brandy) Serratore. He attended Atkinson Academy and Timberlane Regional High School, where he was a member of the first Timberlane Regional High School Hockey Team.

In his younger years, Michael was a member of the Haverhill Youth Hockey League and the Atkinson Little League. Michael was employed as a contractor for Cover-Rite Siding.

An avid fisherman and accomplished artist and guitarist, Michael was a member of the pool league at the Crow's Nest and enjoyed snowboarding, boating, golfing, and skateboarding. He also enjoyed weekends spent at New England Dragway, where he raced his junior dragster. Most of all, he was a devoted father to his daughter, Avery.

He is survived by his parents, John J. "Jack" Serratore of Haverhill and Robin L. (Brandy) Serratore of Atkinson, his daughter, Avery E. Serratore, Erin Doherty of Andover the mother of his daughter, his sister, Jennifer L. Phillips and her husband Kevin of Plaistow, his brother, Shane M. Brandy of Plaistow, his paternal grandfather, Alfred Araskiewicz of Plaistow, his maternal grandmother, Claire (Lawyer) Brandy of Hampstead, nieces and nephews, Savannah Brandy, Alessandro Clivio, Shane Brandy, Jr., George Jack Phillips, and Kieran Phillips, two aunts, Judy O'Connell of Haverhill, and Pamela Kamberalis of Danville, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Albert J. Brandy, his paternal grandmother, Helen (Reardon) Araskiewicz, and his paternal grandfather, Joseph Serratore.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Michael's Life Celebration on Thursday, June 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will take place on Friday, June 17 at 10 a.m. on the Memorial Lawn of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Street, c/o First Baptist Church, 122 Main Street, Plaistow, NH 03865.
