Michael John Salcido

Michael John Salcido, age 65, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019, surrounded by family. He was born on January 22, 1954, in Pasadena to Albert and Gloria Salcido. Michael followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a skilled wood craftsman. He spent years creating custom furniture, including for his own company Salcido Wood Products. Michael moved on to teaching Mill and Cabinetry within the Department of Corrections, earning several awards and recognitions for his dedication, including Vocational Instructor of the Year for the State of California.
Michael was at his happiest when spending time with family and friends. He spent countless hours at the soccer field, basketball court, and hockey rink supporting his grandchildren. Michael was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his children Jason, Melissa (Adair) and Jeffrey (Nicole); his grandchildren Michael, Chris, Ethan, Keeva, Keana, and Ezekiel; his brother Danny and sisters Donna and Elizabeth.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 3rd at noon at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, Church of Our Heritage, 21300 Via Verde Drive, Covina.
