Michael Edward Reagan

Michael Edward Reagan, devoted husband, father, grandfather, author, and public commentator, was the son of President Ronald Reagan and actress Jane Wyman. Michael was raised during his parents’ early careers in Hollywood and maintained a close and meaningful relationship with his father throughout Ronald Reagan’s years of public service. He often reflected on his father’s example of conviction, optimism, and faith, which profoundly shaped his own life.

In his early adulthood, Michael pursued competitive powerboat racing, a demanding and disciplined sport that reflected his adventurous spirit and perseverance. He later devoted his professional life to public commentary, authorship, and the preservation of his father’s legacy. A nationally syndicated radio talk-show host and conservative commentator, Michael authored several books, including On the Outside Looking In and Twice Adopted, and founded the Reagan Legacy Foundation in 1997 to promote education, patriotism, and civic responsibility.

Michael was a man of deep and enduring faith, which served as the foundation of his life. He spoke openly of the importance of prayer, trust in God, and living according to moral conviction. His faith sustained him through personal challenges and guided his commitment to family, integrity, and service to others.

He shared a loving and faithful marriage of 50 years with his wife, Colleen, celebrating that milestone this past November. Michael was a devoted father and grandfather, taking great pride and joy in his family.

Michael Reagan is survived by his wife of fifty years, Colleen Reagan; his son, Cameron Reagan, and Cameron’s wife, Susana; his daughter, Ashley Reagan Dunster, and her husband, Joe Dunster; and his four beloved grandchildren, Marilyn, Penelope, Gage, and Stetson.

Michael Reagan will be remembered for his steadfast faith, devotion to family, loyalty to principle, and commitment to living a life grounded in belief, responsibility, and love.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Reagan Legacy Foundation in honor of Michael Reagan’s life and legacy.
