Michael Stephen Raines

Michael Stephen Raines Sr., 83, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2019 at home in Rancho Mirage, California surrounded by his wife of 28 years, Diana, his daughter, Kathryn and his son, Stephen.

Although he earned a degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri, his life would go down a very different path! After graduating from Mizzuo, he joined the United States Air Force and became a pilot in the Strategic Air Command. After completing his service in the USAF he began a career with United Airlines that lasted 34 years and garnered him lifelong friendships and experiences traveling the world with his wife, Diana, who was a flight attendant, that most only dream of.
In retirement they moved to Dover, Tennessee for a time and then back to the west coast to be closer to family. He is survived by his wife, Diana, his daughter, Kathryn, his son Stephen, 3 grandchildren, Andrew (Kristen), Garrett (Johanna), Cristina and 4 great grandchildren, Ari Thor (his little Viking), Holly, Charlotte and Ava, his brother, Jonathan Todd (Julie) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date.
