Plaistow, NH: Michael Penta, 68, a resident of Plaistow for over thirty years, was called home to heaven on February 18, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Haverhill, MA, son of the late Michael R. and Simone J. (Lariviere) Penta, he graduated from Haverhill Trade School with the Class of 1965. Michael served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969 and was honorably discharged with the rank of E-5.

Michael was employed as a truck driver for J.F. Lomma Inc. in South Carney, NJ, and was most recently employed for Busby Construction in Atkinson.

A former Plaistow Fireman, he served as a past president of the Plaistow Firemen's Association. He was also a past member of the Plaistow Planning Board.

A member of Seacoast H.O.G and the Carl Davis Post of the American Legion, Michael enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed boating, watching NASCAR, and drag racing.

He is survived by his children, Brian M. Penta and his wife Brandy of New Port Richey, FL, Niki Penta of Plaistow, Preston Croteau and his wife Laura of Fitchburg, MA, Nicolas Fiset and his wife Lauren of Kingston, NH, and Kara Fiset and her fiancé Michael Dame of Kingston, his longtime companion, Barbara Ryan of Plaistow, a sister Jean Soucy of Newburyport, MA, four grandchildren, Sonora, Avery, Connor, and Brayden, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Marie Penta Marcoux and Theresa Kellman, and a brother, Harry Beauregard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Michael's Life Celebration on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with the rendering of Military Honors at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH will take place at 12:30 p.m. . Memorial donations may be made to the Fisher House, VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132.
