Michael Anthony Nee, Sr., 92, born on October 12, 1927, in Boston, MA passed away January 31, 2020.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, California.

Michael A. Nee, Sr. was born October 12, 1927 in Boston, MA.

He grew up in South Boston with his siblings Agnes, Sally and Jack (John) Nee.

Michael finished high school and upon graduation enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served in both WWII and the Korean Wars. When he returned home after the Korean War, he attended Northeastern University and graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. In 1956 he married the beautiful Mary B. Keane. They bought a house on Prospect St in Melrose, MA and filled it with 8 wonderful children.

Michael's career was working as a mechanical engineer. In December of 1977 he was transferred to Southern California. He and Mary bought a house in San Dimas where they lived until Mary passed in October 2013. At that time he relocated to Covina to live next door to his son Mark.

He was preceded in death by his siblings and his wife Mary. He is survived by his 8 children, and 14 grandchildren and a great grandchild on the way.
Michael was very proud of his Irish heritage. He enjoyed attending Irish fairs and parades and loved to sing Irish music. He was an avid reader all his life.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Rosary/Vigil services will be Thursday, 2/13 from 5-6pm @ Forest Lawn, Covina Hills
Visitation to follow from 6-9 pm.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, 2/14 @ 10 am at St Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Covina
Graveside services will follow at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills.
