Michael J. Hoff

Mr. Michael Hoff, 76, born February 17, 1947, in Saginaw, MI, passed away peacefully February 26, 2023, with family by his side in Palm Springs, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Jean Hoff, his parents Walter and Clara Hoff, his brother, Jon David Hoff, and his sister, Kay Miller.

Michael grew up in Au Gres, Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Horticulture Science in 1969.  He was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War, being stationed for a period of time in Germany. Upon returning home, he worked for the Dow Chemical Company - where he was able to make a living pursuing his passion for gardening - for approximately 30 years before retiring.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Coppinger, his brother Karl Hoff, his grandchildren Clara Coppinger and Grady Coppinger, and his nieces and nephews Kim Eggebrecht, Brian Hoff, Marc Hoff, David Hoff, and Lisa Hoff, in addition to a host of other family and friends.

He will be remembered at a private family memorial at the Sims Whitney Cemetery in Au Gres on July 3, 2023.

Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City, CA.
