Michael Francis Fisher, 82, born on December 12, 1941, in Reading, PA, United States, passed away September 10, 2024 surrounded by family in Long Beach, CA. He resided in Anaheim, CA at the time of his passing. Michael’s family moved to California when he was very young. At the age of 13 he begged for permission to enter seminary in service to God, although he eventually relieved himself of this goal. He held a masters degree from University of Southern California and would later become an officer in the United States Army where he piloted UH-1 Iroquois helicopters. He was decorated with the Bronze Star, Air Medal, and Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism in combat, among other medals for service during wartime.
At home, Michael participated in a wide array of industries such as: education, energy, oil drilling, fire fighter training, housing and urban development, work place safety and medical sport-device development; to name a few. For a brief time he distributed newspapers or worked with a popular food manufacturer. An avid philosopher, student of history and English language etymology; he could have easily won Jeopardy if he ever competed. For most people he met, he was always seeking good conversation and a laugh or two.
Michael is survived by his son Michea and daughter Madeline. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marylin Marquis, daughter Michelle Monique, his second wife Lynda Fisher, and his son John Fisher.
A memorial service will be held on 12 October at 1700 (5PM) at Forest Lawn of Long Beach California.
