Michael Anthony Bartoli

Michael Anthony Bartoli, 62, born on July 30, 1953, in Los Angeles, CA, passed away March 1, 2016. He resided in Winnetka, CA at the time of his passing.

Born to Julius and Elvira Bartoli, Michael grew up in Los Feliz and spent summers at the family home at Blue Lagoon in Laguna Beach, where he was proudly known by the names of Black Bart, Luigi or simply Bart.

He attended Our Mother of Good Counsel Elementary, Loyola High
School and UCSB majoring in Marine Biology. Ultimately Michael's creative talents led him to the film industry and a successful career as a commercial Editor.

He began his creative career as a Film Editor in Hollywood at Red Car, later joining Mad River Post, Film Core, eventually opening his own firm in partnership with Susan Munro at Hybrid Edit. His talents were greatly recognized within his industry, which honored him with many awards and accolades including an Emmy and Tony.

A unique soul, Michael was long known for his positive outlook on life, his ability to inspire and his unrestrained sense of humor. Michael was also known by all for his love of music and guitars.

Family and friends were always of the utmost importance to Michael, and he put his family first in everything.

Michael is survived by his wife, Anastasia (Stacey) Bartoli, daughter Danielle (Matt) Dobrow, daughter Kira Bartoli, son Nico Bartoli, siblings Lisa (Anita) Bartoli-Zubere, Yvonne (Neil) Munro, and Bert Kelley whom he deemed his brother and confidante.

Michael will be greatly missed.
