Greetings, 

We gather here today to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hin, Meung. Mom’s life was full of love, compassion, and unwavering strength.
 
Mrs. Hin, Meung, born in Svay Rien on November 12, 1920, transcended into the eternal on February 21, 2024, in Long Beach, California. She was a remarkable soul with a deep-rooted faith in Khmer Buddhism. Her life was a tapestry woven with threads of faith, love, and kindness. Those who knew her loved her because of these qualities.  
 
Mom’s essence was beautifully captured in her love for gardening, a passion that bloomed alongside her spirituality. She found solace in nurturing plants and cultivating beauty from the earth. Her green thumb mirrored her ability to nurture relationships and sow seeds of kindness wherever she went.
 
Her dedication to healthy living extended to those around her. Through every meal she prepared and shared, Mom poured her love into each dish. Her culinary skills were a manifestation of her caring nature and selfless spirit. She innately knew a well-rounded flavor profile, combined with a perfect texture and the just-right seasoning to make food tasting unforgettable. 
 
The memories of Cambodia held a special place in her heart, and every visit to her homeland was an opportunity to reconnect with cherished moments from the past. Mom’s affection for her late husband, our father, was unwavering, his presence always felt in the tender recollections she shared.
 
In the tapestry of family, Meung Hin's love knew no bounds. She is survived by her children: Mony Morris, Sarah Genkuong, Saren Lucik, Sareth Dok, Sammy Ly, and Vansin Dokken. Her legacy lives on through their hearts, filled with memories of a woman who embodied patience, empathy, and resilience.
 
Mom’s presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to soar through the stories shared by those who knew and loved her. As we bid farewell to a soul so pure and kind, let us remember that her love will forever guide us through life's joys and adventures.
 
The visitation for Mrs. Hin, Meung will take place on March 20 at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Cypress Room in Cypress from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM followed by the Funeral Service at Forest Lawn - Cypress - Patriots Chapel on March 23 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Let us come together to honor and celebrate the life of Meung Hin - a beacon of light whose warmth will never fade away.
