Maybell Quimpo Legaspi was born on May 30, 1957 to Eden Acurantes Quimpo and Jose Fernando Quimpo in Nabas, Aklan, Philippines as the youngest of seven children. She is survived by her husband Villamor (Bill), daughter Maelyn, son Sean and his children Caleb and Lana, her siblings Mary Anne, Allan, Errol, Lynne and Ramon. Including her nieces, nephews, cousins, step-children and countless friends.
She attended Nabas Elementary, Western Aklan Academy, and Centro Escolar University. She moved to America in 1983, met Bill shortly after and had Maelyn in 1985 and Sean in 1987. She spent most of her working career at Microsemi as an inspector for a semiconductor chip manufacturer. Her time in America was mostly in the Buena Park/Anaheim area, to where she purchased a home in Anaheim, CA to raise her family. In 2022 as her health was declining, the family sold the Anaheim home and she and Bill moved to Corona, CA to live with Sean and his young family.
Maybell was loved by many. She had so many friends all across life, from school, to work to friends of friends. She was always welcoming to everyone, offering a place to stay, helping them find work, or even just offering a simple meal. She was a great cook and most people remember her famous Filipino Spaghetti, Leche Flan and Cassava Cake.
Maybell will be missed by all. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, big smile and even bigger heart. May she Rest In Peace.
