February 1, 1948 — July 17, 2014

May Jew, 66, born on February 1, 1948 in Los Angeles, California, passed away July 17, 2014. She resided in Arcadia, California, at the time of her passing. May was the 3rd of 5 children born of Leung N. Jew and Dere S. Jew. She was an outgoing and gregarious woman who loved her family and friends. Living in the Los Angeles Area, she went to Foshay Jr. High School and Los Angeles High School. She was the first female in her family to go to college attending the University of California, Los Angeles and obtaining a bachelors degree. She was a Medical Records Administrator working in various hospitals, amongst them St. Vincent's, Good Samaritan, St. Joseph's. She loved her pet dogs; Harry, Honey, Cookie Dough and Spumoni. Unfortunately May was born with Type 1 Diabetes and had many health issues related to this condition. However, she preservered. She was devoted to her parents and returned home to take care of them during the latter years of their lives. It was at the beginning of last year when she received the diagnosis of metastatic endometrial CA. Undaunted, she continued to take care of her centenarian mother with disregard for self. She leaves behind a sister, 3 brothers and many nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews who adore her. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California.
