Plaistow, NH: Maryann (Mahoney) Tavitian,93, a 60 year resident of Plaistow, passed away peacefully at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH on Sunday January 13, 2013 following a brief illness.

She was born on January 5, 1920 in Concord, NH the daughter of the late Harry and Nona (Porter) Mahoney.  She was raised and educated in Concord.  She graduated from Concord High School and had attended the University of New Hampshire.
Maryann was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family.  In her later years, she had worked for 25 years in retail in the greater Plaistow area.

She was a very talented woman who enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and knitting.  She also liked crafts and oil painting.  She was an accomplished musician who played the piano and other instruments.

Maryann was a communicant and founding member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Hampstead, NH.  She was also a member of The Order of The Eastern Star.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rupert M. Tavitian.  She is survived by her daughters; Nancy Hollinrake and husband Leslie of Raymond, NH, Jan Tavitian of Boston, MA, Jayne Leiner and husband Dennis of Cape Elizabeth, ME and Michele O -Reilly and husband John of Boston, MA.  Grandchildren; Michael Hollinrake, Tyler Hollinrake, Alison Golas, Joy Engel, Jeffrey O -Reilly and Juliet O -Reilly.  Six great-grandchildren also survive her.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday January 16, 2013 from 2 to 5:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main Street (Plaistow Village) Plaistow, NH 03865.  Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home on Thursday January 17, 2013 at 10:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Plaistow Cemetery.

In-lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made the charity of one's choice.
