Mary Ferguson Zapanta

Born as Mary Ferguson in the northern province of Samar Philippines, her father Thomas Higgins Ferguson was  a U.S. Army veteran from Kentucky USA, stationed in the Philippines, while her mother, Segunda Espinociĺla, hailed from the province of Sorsogon, Philippines. Mary completed her grammar and high school from her province. The family migrated to Olongapo City in the central Luzon region, where the then U.S. Naval Base  Subic was located. While here, Mary enroĺled in Columban College where she took up Bachelor of science in Liberal Arts major in English. It was in this college where she met her future to be husband, Noly Zapanta, who is also the eldest son of a veteran U.S. Army Phillipine Scout regiment. They were also neighbors. They married after finishing college and were blessed with five children, namely, Larsen, Jon, Kristine, Christian and Mark. They are now professionals in their respective field and career. They have five grandchildren Shannen, Gillian, Andrei, Kyle and Lauren. They also have an adopted son Allan Paul who has two kids, Allana and Alexa, with his wife. Both Mary and her husband worked in logistics industry until retirement. 

The family immigrated to U.S. 28 years before and lived in Southern California.  At time of her passing Mary lived in the City of La Mirada with her husband.
