Mary Youssef

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Youssef, formerly known as Mary Amin Selim, who departed this life on July 9, 2025, in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Born on August 19, 1945, in Mansoura, Egypt, Mary was a beloved figure whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Mary is survived by her cherished children, Magda Youssef-Awad, Salwa Graham, Nivin Youssef, John Youssef, and Sarah Youssef. She was immensely proud of her role as a grandmother to Peter, Joshua, James, Ryan, Gabriel, Christiana, Danielle, Destiny, and Audriana. Mary's legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Cairo, Alexzandria, Bayou Bleu, and Oliver.

In addition to her immediate family, Mary is mourned by her dear brother Anwar Selim and his wife Mona Selim, along with their children David and Mark. She is also remembered fondly by her sister Nadia Hibachi and her daughter Vivian Maximous, along with her husband Hany Maximous.

Mary Talaat Youssef's life was one of love, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. May God repose her soul and bring comfort to her grieving family.

A funeral service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at St. John Coptic Orthodox Church in Covina, California, on July 22, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM. The service will conclude at 1:00 PM. Mary will be greatly missed, yet her memory will endure through her family and friends.
