Mary Sami Younan was born June 28, 1941 in Egypt to Zakher Nasralla and Rosa Abascarone. She was the youngest of 9 children. Mary graduated from Cairo University with a BS in Commerce and later taught high school biology and math. She married her wonderful husband Sami Ramzi Younan on August 1, 1965. They immigrated to Los Angeles, California in 1970 with their first two children, George and Nancy and later had two more children, Cendy and Peter. Mary worked as a wedding dress designer for William Kahn and spent years investing in real estate, becoming a very savvy businesswoman. Mary enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, taking cruises, travelling, cooking and playing cards. She was a devout follower of her Coptic faith.

Mary is survived by her husband Sami, four children, George (Renee), Nancy (Mike), Cendy (Samy), Peter (Ann) and seven grandchildren, Cristian, Tyler, Caitlin, Derek, Jayden, Makayla, and Ethan. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Mary entered eternal life with our Heavenly Father on April 12, 2022.
