Mary Delgado Montoya, 86, of Gardena, CA, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019. She passed peacefully while surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Silver City, NM, on May 8, 1933, to Refugio Guzman and Gabel Fajardo. She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, and watching her soap operas. Mary is survived by six daughters: Mary Lou Rotter (Frank), Linda Morris (Steve), Betty Kester (Frank), Alice Donald (Dale), Teresa Malconian (Mark), and Lorraine Hamada; two sons: David Montoya (Lolita) and Freddie Montoya (Cheryl); 14 grandchildren: Chris Lee (Danni), Matt Rotter (Lauren), Tim Rotter, Daniel Morris, David Morris (Gracie), Nathan Morris, Harold Pirie (Sandi), Sean Ureta (Cinthia), Leah Silva (Ron), Ashley Donald, Mia Montoya, Marisa Montoya, Joel Hamada, and Jennae Hamada; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by sisters: Elvira Sauers of San Bernardino, CA, Stella Caldera of Rodeo, CA, and Dora Ordonez (Arturo) of Silver City, NM; brother Tony Delgado of Silver City, NM; sisters-in-law Belen Nunes of Claremont, CA, Amelia Orosco of Cerritos, CA, and Lydia Smith of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; brother-in-law Jimmy Montoya (Sunny) of Dolan Springs, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Federico Montoya (her first husband), Joe Guzman (brother), Eddie Delgado (brother), Melinda Delgado (sister), Senaida Lopez (sister), Anita Delgado (sister), four sisters-in-law: Lisa Philpott, Millie Delgado, Chayo Montoya and Elena Barrera; and seven brothers-in-law: Bobby Lopez, Alfonso Barrera, Tomas Montoya, Rudy Montoya, Richard Nunes, Robert Orosco, and Bill Smith.

Mary's Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020, at 2 p.m., at the Church of Our Fathers, Forest Lawn-Cypress, 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630. Following the service and interment, a reception will be held at the same location. Serving as pallbearers will be David Montoya, Freddie Montoya, Chris Lee, Harold Pirie, Daniel Morris, and Dale Donald. Honorary pallbearers are Matt Rotter, Tim Rotter, David Morris, Nathan Morris, Sean Ureta, Leah Silva, Ashley Donald, Mia Montoya, Marisa Montoya, Joel Hamada, and Jennae Hamada.
