Mary George

March 7, 1930 — November 15, 2025

Mary George, born on March 7, 1930, in Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025. She lived a remarkable life filled with love, compassion, and cherished memories. Mary was a devoted matriarch whose heart belonged to her family and friends; to her, life’s true riches were found in those she held dear.

A caring, kind, and loving individual, Mary touched the lives of many. She embraced the hearts of everyone around her, especially as a beloved "nana." Her warmth was felt in every interaction, and her legacy will continue to shine through the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She held a special place as Aunt Mary to generations of nieces and nephews.

Mary is survived by her loving daughters, Gloria George and Cindy DeLay. She took immense pride in her grandchildren: Trisha George, Lisa Reed, Michael George, and Kathleen Kearns. As a great-grandmother, she adored Amanda Piarino, Nicholas Piarino, Megan Fort, Brianna Kearns, and Elsie George, ensuring that her spirit would live on in the younger generations.

Mary had a passion for a few things in life that brought her joy, including her Kansas City Chiefs and her beloved Los Angeles Dodgers. She was a steadfast supporter of her grandchildren's endeavors, cheering them on at various sports events at Savanna High School and proudly following her grandson at Fresno State Bulldog football games. Known for her wonderful ability to connect with others, Mary had a beloved role running the snack bar for Silverado Bobby Sox softball, where she created countless happy memories.

In addition to her personal joys, Mary was deeply committed to giving back. She served as a volunteer for the Circle of Friends at West Anaheim Medical Center, where her caring nature and genuine concern for others made a lasting impact.

Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herman George, her daughter Patricia George, and her parents, Willis and Ella Mae Watts. She also mourns the loss of her siblings: Wanda Farmer, Peggy George, Lorraine Watts, Jerry Watts, Tommy Watts, Bob Watts, Bill Watts, and Bud Watts. Though they may be gone, Mary carries their memory in her heart, united by the bonds of family and love.

The celebration of Mary’s life will take place with visitation on November 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Forest Lawn - Cypress, Cypress Room, located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630. A funeral service will follow on December 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn - Cypress, Church of Our Fathers, also at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630.

Mary George’s spirit will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. As we bid farewell, we find comfort in knowing that her love and light will continue to inspire us all.
