Mary Louise Kurtzberg went to join her beloved Bennie on Monday, January 20, 2014 after suffering a stroke on January 10th. She was born on August 15, 1917 to Sylvio and Frances Nary. Both parents died young. Mary grew up in Luray, VA. She moved to Oregon during WW II. She worked for the Federal Government during the war for Oregon Department of Transportation. She then worked for Home Insurance Co. of N.Y. Bennie & Mary were married October 12, 1951 and lived in Los Angeles, Calif. until 1974, when they moved to Cathedral City, Calif. Mary worked as a volunteer at Palm Springs Senior Center for one and a half years & then at Visiting Nurses Assiciation for five years. She was a member of the Temple Isaiah Sisterhood and Temple. She was always willing to help people in need or poor health and volunteered wherever possible. She is survived by their daughter Cathryn Feely and her son in-law, Joseph Feely. Interment will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Forest Lawn Mausoleum in Cathedral City. Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries.
