Mary Jean Olivas Coloma

Mrs. Mary Jean OIivas Coloma, 66, born on January 28, 1946, in Calamaniugan, Cagayan, Philippines, passed away on September 20, 2012 in Rancho Mirage, Calif. She resided in Cathedral City, Calif., from 1982 to the time of her passing. She was employed by Regis Hair Stylist in Palm Desert, Calif. for 6 years, then Premier Care in Palm Springs, Calif. from 1988 to 2012, where she managed the beauty shop until August 15, 2012. Mary Jean was a school teacher, a cosmetologist, a diet tech and a pharmacy tech, but chose cosmetology as her life profession. She is survived by her husband, Geronimo (Gerry) J. Coloma; sons, Garry Glenn Olivas Coloma, Brian Michael Olivas Coloma, and Jeff Spencer Olivas Coloma all of Cathedral City; sisters, Lilia Olivas Stangl, Otella Olivas Sanchez, Aida Olivas Abayon, all of the Philippines, and Emma Olivas Bacani of Melbourne, Australia.

Visitations are scheduled for Monday, September 24, and Tuesday, September 25, 2012, both from 4pm-9pm at the Ramon Chapel at Forest Lawn, Cathedral City. A rosary is scheduled on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 7pm-8pm. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 9am at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Palm Springs with interment to follow at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cathedral City.
