Mary Ann Forbes

Mary Ann Forbes, 83, born on March 20, 1930, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away April 25, 2013. She resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of her passing. Mary Ann lived in Jamaica from the age of 4 to twelve, in Chicago until she was thirty, when she moved back to Jamaica. She married Keith Forbes in 1955, and they had two daughters, Sheri and Kandee, after moving back to Jamaica. In 1978, Mary Ann and Keith made their final move to Los Angeles.

Mary Ann was a talented painter, artist, poet and decorator. She had a knack for numbers and was successful at the retail business she worked in for twenty years. Mary Ann was a devoted wife, mother, sister and daughter, family being the most important aspect of her life. She was very proud of her immediate and extended family and of the heritage, legacy and cultural background she made sure to pass on to her children and grandchildren.
