Mary M. Beskalo

Mary M. Beskalo, age 93 of Sandown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 24, 2013 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH.

Mary was born on August 27, 1920 in Westford, MA the daughter of the late William and Evdokia (Worobey) Minko. She was raised and educated in Westford and graduated from Westford Academy. She was a Westford resident until 2004.

Mary worked for Raytheon Corporation as a cost accountant, retiring with 35 years of service.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time with her family. Mary was a former member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Westford where she taught Sunday school and was a Vestry member.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Anne M. Darrah and husband, David J. of Sandown, NH. Her brother, Anthony Minko and wife, Winnifred of Lancaster, MA and her sister, Sophie Payne of Concord, MA. Grandchildren; Rebecca Darrah, David J. Darrah Jr., Karen Beskalo, Stephen R. Beskalo and William Beskalo and great-grandchildren; Alexia Darrah, Matilda Darrah, Stephen Beskalo, Lea Beskalo and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Stephen G. Beskalo, her son, Stephen D. Beskalo, her daughter, Nancy E. Witt and her brother, Nicholas Minko.

Friends and family are invited to call on Sunday September 29, 2013 from 3 – 6:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A) Plaistow, NH 03865. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday September 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church 187 East Road, Hampstead, NH 03841. Burial will take place in the Russian Brotherhood Cemetery on Patten Road in Westford, MA on Tuesday October 1, 2013 at 12:30 PM.
