Mary Arnold

Mary Arnold, née Higgins, was born on October 1, 1945, in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, and peacefully passed away on March 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A cherished sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary leaves behind a legacy of kindness and treasured memories.

Mary dedicated 17 years of her career to Marsh McLennan Insurance Company, where she oversaw daily clerical duties with diligence and commitment. Those who worked with her knew her as a dependable colleague and a steady presence in the office.

Family was the centerpiece of Mary’s life. She relished these moments, particularly during the Fall, when she would prepare her famous bean soup and cornbread, bringing warmth and comfort to her loved ones. Her joyful spirit was also evident in her love for Las Vegas and shopping, which brightened her days and created lasting memories of adventure.

In her spare time, Mary enjoyed immersing herself in her favorite television shows, notably General Hospital, and engaging in the exciting mysteries presented by NCIS. These interests showcased her fun-loving nature and her dynamic personality.

Mary's family includes her devoted daughters, Deborah Jean Adams and Pamela Sue Conley; son, Charles Adam Arnold; son-in-law, David Joseph Conley; and daughter-in-law, Amy Arnold. She is also survived by her brothers; Jimmy Higgins, Terry Higgins, Mike Higgins, and, and niece Jennifer Van Der Geugten, and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jessica Adams, Hettie Adams, Anna Perry, Kenneth Adams Jr., Megan Schilling, Abbey Ramirez, Amanda Fisher, Ray Arnold, Charlie Arnold, Emily Arnold, Seth Arnold, and great-grandchildren: Lathen Schilling, Ariana Ramirez, Daniel Ramirez, Margo Fisher, Wally Fisher, Hunter McDowell, Morgan McDowell, Charlie Fordham, Carter Holten, Audrey Adams, Harley Adams, Joseph Adams, Matthew Adams, Ray Schrom, Kelly Thiede, and Elizabeth Adams.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, James Higgins; mother, Myrtle Higgins; sister, Linda Bartley; brother, Brian Higgins; son, James “Jimmy” Stone; and sisters-in-law, Eva Higgins and Ruby Higgins.

A funeral service to honor Mary will be held at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, California, on April 3, 2025, starting at 12:30 PM. Family and friends are encouraged to join us in remembering the remarkable life she led and the multitude of lives she touched. Mary Arnold's spirit will forever be a part of each person she loved, reflected in the countless memories created together.
