Martin Buenrostro, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away October 8, 2024, at his residence in Chino, California. Born on October 2, 1959, in Sahuayo, Michoacan, Mexico, Martin's journey through life was marked by resilience, love, and an unyielding spirit.
With a humble beginning, Martin ventured into the workforce through custodial work, but his passion and dedication saw him flourish in the Engineering and Manufacturing sector for over 40 years. He skillfully navigated through various roles, from fabricating and welding to assembly, ultimately achieving the esteemed title of Tool and Die Maker. His tenure at renowned companies such as Accuride and Boeing enriched his career; however, it was his time at Martinez and Turek that he treasured most, particularly for his contributions to significant projects.
A true embodiment of a community pillar, Martin was more than just a skilled tradesman; he was the life of every gathering and the patriarch of his family. His vibrant spirit lit up the room, and his heart was as immense as his laughter. His belief in the importance of connection was woven into the fabric of his daily life. Martin often gave the shirt off his back to anyone in need and welcomed all with a warmth that made each person feel like family. His cooking was not just a task; it was his form of art, an expression of love that brought people together. He always longed to feed those around him, creating a cherished bond through shared meals and joyful celebrations.
In his downtime, Martin pursued the simple joys of life—fishing, dancing, and spending precious moments with his family. He wore many hats but thought of himself as simply a provider and nurturer. As a devoted grandfather, he took immense pleasure in showering his grandchildren with affection and attention, often spoiling them at every opportunity. His love and sacrifices ensured that everyone around him—immediate family, extended family, friends, and coworkers—had what they needed to succeed and thrive.
Martin is survived by his loving wife, Maria Buenrostro, his devoted children: Martin Buenrostro, Veronica Partida, Cindy Owens, and Hernando Quintero, as well as their spouses, Tara Buenrostro, Eric Partida and Shawna Quintero. His legacy will live on through his beloved grandchildren: Miguel Angel Becerra, Josiah Owens, Christian Quintero, Serena Owens, Leilani Quintero, Valentin Partida, Elijah Quintero, Vicente Partida, Viviana Partida, Zoe Owens, Ace Buenrostro, Myles Quintero, and Faith Buenrostro.
He joins his cherished parents, Guillermo and Esperanza Buenrostro, and his dear grandson, David Vinson Owens, in eternal rest.
Martin’s life was a testament to hard work, compassion, and the power of community. As we gather to honor his memory at the funeral services on November 7 and November 8, we remember a vibrant soul who made the world a better place through love and generosity. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
