Haverhill, MA:  Martha Manning Rockey, 55, died Sunday evening, April 22, 2012 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House after a long illness and surrounded by her loving and supportive family.

Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late James T. "Tom"' and Jeannette (Dussault) Manning, she attended St. Joseph Grammar School and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1974.  She later attended Davenport College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

A resident of Haverhill for most of her life, Martha was employed as an accountant and controller for Skrivanos Management.

Martha was a member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill.  She enjoyed gardening, drawing, sports, golfing and playing softball.

Survivors include seven sisters, Virginia Fenlon of Hampton, NH, Sheila Rogers of Haverhill, Trish Manning of Windham, NH, Andrea Kittredge and her husband Barry of Haverhill, Paula Lavigne and her husband Randy of Salem, NH, Diana Duffty of Haverhill, Monica Desmarais of Haverhill, four brothers, John Manning and his wife Linda of Bloomington, Ill, Gerry Manning and his wife Nina of Danvers, Chris Manning and his wife Cami of Haverhill, and Greg Manning and his wife Kathleen of Haverhill, her special friend Charlie Quimby of Haverhill, her friends and caregivers, Michelle Alessi and Diane Riopelle, who professionally knew no boundaries in giving care and comfort and "Mikey"', her special four-legged friend, also several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121 A, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.

In lieu of flowers, Martha has requested that donations in her name be made to: The Poverello Fund of the Mayo Clinic, Department of Development, 200 1st St.SW, Rochester, MN 55905, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101, or to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
