Martha Maria Black passed away on January 26, 2019. She was born March 16, 1941 in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Antonio and Andrea Garcia. In the early 1970's, Martha moved to Los Angeles, California and married Frank Black before having her only son, Frank Jr. in 1974. A short time later, she moved to Rancho Cucamonga, California where she resided the remainder of her life.

Martha had a passion for gardening and she could be most often found tending to her fruit trees and flowers. She was a committed Christian and avid church and bible-study goer. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Rancho Cucamonga.

She is survived by her son Frank, siblings Nicolaza Garcia de Martinez, Lucila Garcia de Mendez, Zeferino Garcia Ruiz (Angeles), Gonzalo Garcia Ruiz (Silvia), Alfredo Garcia Ruiz, Rogelio Garcia Ruiz (Rosario), Jose Ascencion Garcia Ruiz (Marina), and Jose Ambrosio Garcia Ruiz (Eduviges), and numerous family members and great friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Black, parents Antonio and Andrea Garcia, and sister Hermelinda Garcia Ruiz.

A special thank you to Armando and Jahayra Nevarez, Maria Bosch, Pastor Doug Lee, Pastor Harold Caicedo, Mike and Lorretta Atkinson and Community Baptist Church.

Viewing will be held on February 9, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Community Baptist Church, 9090 19th St, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. A reception to follow at 1:00 p.m. in Community Baptist's reception hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to offset funeral and medical expenses be sent to The Black Family, 9560 Devon Street, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730.
