Mark Allen Thompson

October 20, 1963 — April 11, 2022

Mark Allen Thompson, 58, born on October 20, 1963, in Stillwater, OK, passed away April 11, 2022 in Los Angeles, CA. He is survived by his mother, Linda Thompson, Englewood, CO, sister, Robin Thompson, Englewood, CO, and half-sister, Terri Kirksey, Fairplay, MO. His father, Frank Thompson, passed away in 2014 and half-sister, Sherri Thompson, Kennesaw, GA, passed away in 2011.
After graduating from high school in Tulsa, OK, Mark moved to Los Angeles, CA to explore the opportunities and enjoy beach life. He returned briefly to Tulsa where he attended college and then moved to Dallas, TX for several years only to return that siren song of Los Angeles.
Mark worked as a professional instructor for Fred Astaire studios and was a motorcycle mechanic. But ultimately found fitness was his passion. Mark was affiliated with 24 Hour Fitness and became a personal trainer. He joined UFC gyms where he met some MMA stars which he enjoyed and later returned to 24 Hour Fitness where he was the Fitness Manager at the Manhattan Beach gym when he passed.
Mark was a 3rd degree black belt in Kenpo and advocated for martial arts throughout his life.
Mark was a wonderful big brother who made life fun for his sisters, encouraging them to live life pushing limits and laughing at challenges. He was constantly striving to be a better man and to help others to meet new goals and achievements. He loved motorcycles, fitness, surfing, cigars, good music, and good times. His sense of humor was so special and he touched a lot of hearts and inspired as many as he could. He was kind and loving, confident and curious, a student of life and philosophy, always open to learning and enjoyed teaching/training others.
Mark cared the most about our veterans, doing fundraisers for Wounded Warriors, and animals, especially Rottweilers.
Mark was one-of-a-kind, charted his own path and was respectful to all, sharing his thoughts on whatever the topic may be with humor and candor.
He left us way too soon but we will carry him in our hearts.
