Mark A. Greenstadt, M.D., passed away peacefully at his home in Chatsworth, California, on July 11, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born on March 3, 1950 in Chicago, Mark later moved to Los Angeles, graduating from Westchester High School in 1968. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA in 1972, followed by a medical degree from UCLA in 1976. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology at L.A. County/USC by 1981.
Dr. Greenstadt practiced internal medicine and endocrinology for 43 years, earning the respect of colleagues and the gratitude of thousands of patients. He also served as Chief of Staff at Valley Presbyterian for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughters, Rachel and Sara; stepson, Brian; sons-in-law, Roger and Garrett; and grandchildren, Eli and Sophie. He was known for his kindness, intelligence, and generosity.
Mark loved music—especially rock ’n’ roll—and closely followed the Dodgers and Lakers. His warmth and humor will be remembered by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 16, at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn, Chapel of the Hills. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mark’s legacy of compassion and service lives on in the many lives he touched.
