Marjorie Maraist, 92, born on March 18, 1922, in Brigham City, Utah, passed away August 18, 2014. She resided in Diamond Bar, California, at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.
Marjorie was the 13th child born to Annie and Joseph Seamons. She had 5 brothers and 7 sisters, Two of the girls and One boy passed away at birth., She spent her early years growing up in Utah with her brothers and sisters.
She married Norman Carter November 1939 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They resided in Compton, Ca. for 1 year and then moved back to Ogden Utah.
Their first child, Larry was born Sept 25th, 1941 and on Nov 17, 1943 Connie was born. They lived in Utah until 1950 when they then moved to South Gate, Ca. where they resided for four years, In 1954 the family moved to Pico-Rivera Ca., Norman and Marjorie's marraige ended In 1956. Marjorie and her two children continued to live in Pico Rivera, her brother, Gerald moved in with them to help them out. Two of her sisters Verda and Estella lived in Southern California and she would visit them often. She remarried in 1958 to Clarence Maraist. They had a daughter Michele and resided in Whitter, Ca., Unfortunately Clarence passed away in 1963. Marjorie and Michele then moved to La Habra, Ca.
Her son Larry married and had 5 childern. Sadly Larry passed away August 20, 2007. Her daughter Connie married Richard Fredrickson in Dec .1961. They have three children Kellie, David and Jenny. They were part of her life and she loved them dearly. Marjorie has 8 grandchildren, more than 8 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildern and was very blessed to see 5 generations of her Family.
Marjorie and Michele moved to Fullerton in 1980 where they continued to live together for 34 years, they became very close and the best of friends,
In April 2014 Marjorie fell very ill and never recoverd. Her and Michele spent her last days together in Diamond Bar. Ca. where Marjorie passed away peacefully in her sleep.

She will be always remembered,......Mother,....Grandmother.....Great Grandmother.....Gread Great Grandmother.....
